i heart market time again

join me at the march i heart market, under the trees at the beaut moses mabhida stadium for new stock, sweet deals, first anniversary flowers, and cupcakes!
yes, you read correctly. this month marks a year of my label and i at the i heart market, so i'm prettying it all up and baking for loyal customers to say thank you for all of the wonderful support over the past year.
i'm getting back to checking my garments, looking forward to seeing you all under the trees bright and early saturday morning!

baked: crumpets
i love this recipe! i'm not sure where i got it from, but i've had it since i was 12 and have been making them ever since...after school munchies, parent's breakfast-in-bed, and even for my very first boyfriend. i'd heard somewhere that the way to the boy's heart is through his stomach and so i made every attempt!hope you enjoy these as much as i do.
ingredients
1 and 1/2 cups of plain flour
1 tbsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 cup of sugar
1 and 1/2 cups of milk
1 large egg
30ml melted butter
directions
1. sift the dry ingredients together
2. whisk milk and egg together and add to the dry ingredients along with the melted butter, mix until smooth
3. drop spoonfuls of the batter onto a hot, lightly greased frying pan
4. turn the crumpets over as soon as bubbles form on the surface
5. allow the other side to turn the same golden brown then remove.
6. serve with tons of butter, golden syrup, and cinnamon sugar!
